The PNP Chaplain Service is the main office in the conduct of values orientation and values formation activities in the PNP in accordance to the PNP PATROL PLAN 2030 (Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and Upholding of the Rule of Law) and the “Chief PNP’s Strategic Focus CODE-P 2013 and Beyond” particularly in the aspect of discipline.
The PNP Chaplain Service headed by REV FR (PSSUPT) DEODY O BARRET is addressing the moral and spiritual needs of the PNP personnel by being pro-active in the conduct of pastoral visitations and values formation activities throughout the PNP.
“Our Chief PNP, PDG ALAN LA MADRID PURISIMA, gave his verbal instruction for us to reach-out to our PNP personnel and to be available for dialogue or counseling to prevent or pre-empt untoward actions at home and at work”, said Fr. Barret.
“As the Chief PNP promotes discipline and professionalism in our ranks, we at the Chaplain Service through counseling, family values trainings and pastoral activities promotes moral and spiritual discipline for our personnel”, said Director Chaplain Service.
The PNP Chaplain Service Acting Chief Directorial Staff, REV FR (PSUPT) LUCIO A ROSAROSO JR, added that the flagship program of the office particularly LOI 17/10 “SUGO” (Spiritual Upliftment and Growth of the Organization) and CMC 03-13 “Paggabay” (Pastoral and Family Counseling Initiative) is in the process of conducting a comprehensive spiritual and moral enhancement program for all PNP personnel.
“Inspired by the instruction of our Chief PNP to be pro-active in pastoral activities, the PNP Chaplain Service in partnership with our multi-faith stakeholders is conducting family values orientation activities, pastoral visitations and family and individual counseling to our PNP personnel and their dependents for us to help in renewing their inspiration to better serve the public – the inspiration that begins with their love for family and faith in the Almighty”, said Fr. Rosaroso.
