PURISIMA LAUDS BULACAN, OLONGAPO AND CIDG COPS

The PNP Chief Director General Alan La Madrid Purisima, while meeting Chiefs of Local Government Units (LGUs) for anti-criminality agenda in Sulu, lauded the elements of Olongapo Police Provincial Office, Bulacan Police Provincial Office and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group for successful police operations and investigation.
PDG Purisima cited the significant accomplishment of Olongapo PPO after a suspect was identified for the killing of Jeffrey Laude, a transgender also known as Jennifer, two days after the victim was found dead in Olongapo City. In a report, Police Senior Superintendent Pedrito F. Delos Reyes, City Director of Olongapo City Police Office, identified the suspect as Private First Class Joseph Scott Pemberton of United States Marine Corps 2nd Battalion 9th Marines, assigned at Westpacexpress.

An other successful operation was made by Bulacan PPO yesterday (Oct 13) in their campaign against motorcycle riding criminals through the support of the Bulacan Provincial Government after neutralizing two (2) carnappers. In a report from PSSupt Ferdinand O Divina, Provincial Director, Bulacan Police Provincial Office, an armed encounter happened on Monday when a complainant reported to Malolos CPS that he was blocked by two (2) suspects and at gunpoint took his motorcycle. Elements of Malolos CPS, upon receiving the report of the incident, immediately conducted a Dragnet Operation and sent flash alarm to its entire patrol unit. The two (2) suspects, while riding the complainant’s motorcycles, were spotted along Caingin-Bulihan Provincial Road and a chase ensued thereafter. An exchange of gunfire ensued between the suspects and the elements of Malolos CPS which resulted to the death of the two (2) suspects.

Meanwhile, personnel of Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office - Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) processed the crime scene and different identification cards of the suspects were collected. Through the recovered IDs, the suspects were identified as Lordio B. Librando and Augusto F Ete.  Recovered from their possession were caliber .38 revolver without serial number loaded with three (3) live ammunitions and three (3) empty shells, and a Smith & Wesson caliber .38 revolver without serial number with two (2) live ammunitions and four (4) empty shells. The cadavers of the suspects were brought to Saint Matthew Funeral Parlor for autopsy.
PSSupt Divina added that Norzagaray Municipal Police Station, led by its Chief of Police PSupt Rafmil Corpuz, arrested the suspect, Rossano Samson, for the crime of Attempted Rape and Murder of an eleven (11) year old victim (name withheld) as a result of continuous and extensive follow up, at his hide-out in Tecson Street, Barangay Bangculasi, Navotas, Metro Manila, approximately 48 hours after the said gruesome crime.
Moreover, elements of 4ARCIDU-Quezon Office Anti-Loose Firearms CIDG Team seized loose firearms, ammunition and grenade in Candelaria, Quezon on Sunday (Oct 12). Led by PCInsp Alvin R Consolacion and assisted by elements of Quezon PPSC, the team conducted search at the residential premises of Ronilo Grande Maligaya by virtue of Search Warrant No.499(14), issued on October 3, 2014 by Hon. Judge Agripino G. Morga, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 29-32, 4th Judicial Region, San Pablo City, Laguna, for Violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act). Said operating team is now validating the reports on alleged involvement of subject person in gun for hire activities that recently transpired in Quezon Province, Ilocos Sur, Nueva Ecija and La Unión, hence the recovered firearms will be subjected for mandatory Ballistic/Cross Matching Examination at Quezon PNP-Crime Laboratory Office.
Arrested person and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Quezon CIDT Office for proper disposition, while a criminal complaint for Violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulation Act) was filed against Maligaya on Monday. (PNP-PIO)
