CIDG ARRESTS 15 WANTED PERSONS IN 24-HOUR POLICE OPERATION
Twenty-six (26) anti-criminality police
operations were conducted nationwide by the members of the CIDG,
yesterday (July 20, 2016) that resulted to the arrest of 24 individuals
including two gang leaders and two listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs).
Out of these operations, 15 persons were
arrested by virtue of Warrants of Arrest (WOAs), who are wanted mostly
for the crimes of Murder, Rape, and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous
Drugs Act) violations.
PSupt Agosto Daskeo, Regional Chief of
CIDG 13, said that Capilitan is wanted for Rape and is listed as the No.
1 City Level MWP in Bayugan City, Agusan Del Sur.
Another significant accomplishment
during this period was the arrest of Jack ADIONG, the leader of the
“Adiong Group”, involved in Gun-for-Hire activities operating in
Tantangan and Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
Adiong, who is wanted for two counts of
Murder and Frustrated Murder, was arrested in Brgy. Poblacion,
Tantangan, South Cotabato, at around 9:25 AM by joint elements of the
CIDG South Cotabato under the direct supervision of its Regional Chief,
PSupt Felix Servita and Tantangan MPS.
PCSupt Roel B. Obusan, the CIDG Acting
Director said that these accomplishments are proof of the CIDG’s
continuous and serious commitment toprevent these lawless criminalsto
carry on their illegalactivities, and that the CIDG will make sure that
these wanted persons will face justice behind bars.
