CIDG NABS HUMAN TRAFFICKER, SAVES 5 IN ENTRAPMENT OPERATION
Operatives of PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group –
Women and Children Protection Unit on Wednesday rescued five (5) minor
victims during an entrapment operation in Asuncion St., Brgy. 83, Zone
8, Caloocan City at about 5:00 PM.
Together with the elements of Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (DOJ-IACAT), Caloocan CSWD (City Social Welfare and Development), and International Justice Mission, police operatives arrested the suspect identified as Jaymee San Martin, resident of No. 171 Salvador St. Baesa, Quezon City, after receiving marked-money in an entrapment operation at a fast food chain in Caloocan City.
Arrested suspect and minors were brought to WCPU-CIDG for temporary custody and referred to Crime Laboratory Group for Physical Examination.
A case for violation of RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act) will be filed against the suspect.(PNP-PIO)
