PNP LAUNCHES LAMBAT-SIBAT MANUAL; Marquez commends PNP personnel

The Managing Police Operations also known as Lambat-Sibat Manual was formally launched on December 7 during the Monday Flag raising ceremony at the PNP National Headquarters.

“Anti-crime strategy is not necessary to accomplish our mission, instead, we can simply go back to the basics of policing which involve patrolling, being more visible on the ground and making our presence felt in the community. ” The Chief PNP said.

“That is why I am very proud to launch the Managing police Operations Manual, also known as Lambat-Sibat, as the bible of the PNP in crime fighting operations” PDG Marquez added.

The manual include protocols and guidelines on the nationwide cascading of Lambat- Sibat for a deliberate, programmatic and sustained approach in dealing with criminality.

The Chief PNP added that “with this manual, I am confident that the policemen will be able to efficiently and effectively manage police operations in the field.”

Meanwhile, following the success of the APEC 2015 Security Task Force, the PNP Chief congratulate again the men and women of the Philippine National Police through an official letter of commendation for their outstanding contribution to the successful conduct of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting from November 18 to 19, 2015 and during the various APEC-related meetings held in Metro Manila; Subic Bay, Zambales; Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga; Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan; Cebu City; and Iloilo City from December 2015 to November 2015 .

Marquez recognized the dedication of each personnel in fulfilling their tasks at hand and in helping the organization in carrying out its mandate of keeping peace and order, and ensuring the safety of the leaders and delegates from the 21 APEC member countries as well as other participants in the event.

“This accomplishment is a manifestation of your professionalism, competence, and devotion to duty that greatly gives honor to our organization not only in the eyes of our countrymen but also in the eyes of the international community,” Marquez said. (PNP-PIO)
