Fuming Dela Rosa curses at PNP officers in 'narco-list'

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa could not contain his dismay on Monday over the alleged involvement of his wards in the narcotics trade.

The emotional Dela Rosa cursed at the 32 officials who appeared before him at Camp Crame and ordered them to cooperate in the ongoing investigation as part of the Duterte administration's campaign against illegal drugs.

“This is the worst thing that can happen to everyone of us,” Dela Rosa said to the officers who came to the PNP headquarters after President Rodrigo Duterte dropped names of “narco-officials” including mayors, congressmen, soldiers and judges yesterday.

“Ang mahal niyo sarili niyo lamang kung paano magpayaman, p***** i** hindi ni’yo inisip kinabukasan ng Pilipinas,” he added.

Dela Rosa even dared his subordinates to a fist fight as he reminded them that he won’t stop pursuing the people behind rampant drug dealings in the country.

“Hahantong tayo sa puntong lahat ng tao siraulo dahil pulis mismo nagre-recyle ng droga, pulis mismo nag bebenta ng droga,” he said.

“Hanggat ako ang chief ng PNP hindi ako papayag na kayong mga p***** i** ang makikinabang sa pera ng droga. Hinding hindi ako papayag.”

Below are the names of 32 out of 98 officers in the list who were present this morning:

“Let’s bring pride to this uniform we wear, ‘wag tayong magpasilaw sa pera,” Dela Rosa said.
